We spent yesterday afternoon’s OLE session reflecting on our own strategic leadership planning. Our goals – be they focused on personal growth, operational management or based on capacity building into the long term future – were drafted, discussed and reflected upon. WAQs (or Wisdom Accessing Questions) were the model of the day – a helpful toolkit for structuring coaching conversations.
We also briefly touched on the 7 leaderships habits by Covey (below). Encompassing vision, prioritisation, emotional intelligence and holding others to account – his thinking can be a helpful structure for reflecting on our own leadership strengths and development areas.
A further session to formalise action planning and evaluate the course will come in June.
